ALUMINUM FLYWHEEL-GM

Hays aluminum flywheels are manufactured from certified billet material that will not break up under the stress of high RPM and severe punishment of racing. Featues replaceable steel surface insert.
Precision balanced to either neutral (internal) or Detroit (external) specifications
Meets SFI specification 1.1 for racing

For Camaro/Firebird 98-02 & Chevrolet Corvette 97-04 with 5.7L V8 LS1. Since the LS1 engine has become so popular, Hays has designed this flywheel to be used on road race applications, and with the serious drag racer running a light car and large cubic inch motor. Machined from 7075 T-6 forged billet aluminum, this high strength alloy surpasses all material specs as to strength and centrifugal distortion. It features a replaceable steel or bronze heat shield friction surface and is drilled to accept either the Borg & Beck or Long-Style clutch pattern. The ring gear is securely mounted with welded tabs that are riveted to the flywheel to prevent spinning. This specific flywheel is a neutral (internal) balance and certified under SFI spec 1.1. Ring Gear Teeth: 168, Pressure Plate Pattern: Stock 12", B&B 11" Mark XII, Weight: 15lbs.
